R+R Dogfood Packaging 3 by Ashwings R+R Dogfood Packaging 3 by Ashwings
All 3 packages assembled.
Showing front, back, left side, and right side.

There are some things I don't like about this line, that I could fix, buuut I am not going to mention it.

Edit: I am not looking for critiques, (if I was I would enable that function) it's over a year old and I know whats wrong with it. Thank you.

I agree with the Penguin Pirate. Seeing it on the box itself puts a whole new dimension on the pieces. If down the line you wish to fix them, the sleeve should be even all the way around. Don't be afraid to put type over or closer to your images, you did it with the Our Products on the Golden Retriever and it adds a whole new appeal to it. It draws you more into what's going on in the panel. Watch out for your widows too. Still love these, your illustrations are really gorgeous.

I should start that I by no means mean to be rude, I'm always a little wary of how people take critiques.... buuut here it goes

The illustrations themselves are gorgeous. There is enough of a mix of realism and caricature to really sell it.

The packaging itself on the other hand doesn't really seem as up to par compared to the drawings. In the orange greyhound package especially with the black strokes on the logo and frame of the illustration. They seem to be more of something that was either forgotten to be taken out rather then something that was thought thru. On the note of the front face of the package, the typography could use a little work. The title of the flavor on each, while using the same font, all have very different treatments which almost seems to hold it back from being from a cohesive series

The side graphic with the product itself is probably my favorite graphic design wise. Again the greyhound bone one could use a little work since the white text is lost in the white cloudy background. Also I'm not quite sure about the slight die-cut on there, but that bothers me less then the text issue.

I could probably keep going (oh I will mention to watch your craft, or just get a new blade, because some of the edges look a little ragged) but overall I think you've got some nice solid work done. It's gotten to the point where it's -ok-, but another push would really make it.

Oh (god I just won't shut up XD) is there a reason the sleeve is all different sizes? I think considering the more upscale pedigree vibe it'd make more sense for all the sides to be the same size rather then having the sides be smaller then the front and back. But that could also be an issue of craft, it might be bothering me only because of the slight puckering :/

Glare kills. :[

I wish these were bigger! I can't seeee them. Nice package design, though. Does the paper have any kind of texture to it? I imagine it would if I could handle them. If only the internet could do that.

Yeah the paper has somesort of texture to it *nods*
My camera absolutely blows and washed out ALL of the textures and colours :( not to mention the printing job was pretty trashy as well. Alas D:
