Weird Dream

Okay had a weird dream.

It started with these 5 big beads of water traveling along....really parched ground in a desert, they looked almost like glass beads, because they didn't look wet, but I just knew it was water, anywhoozle I was following them, I dunno why, I just was.

So I follow these beads of water into this alley (thats in the desert? Yeah I know!) At the end of the alley they stop in front of this boarded up doorway on the right side of the concrete wall. Above the door there are two 8's and they are scratched out, there are lined up one underneath each other, but they are scratched up and taped up almost. Also, there is a big red 9 underneath the scratched out 8's.
I then look at the beads of water by my feet and they merge into a big blob of water. I go to touch it but it quickly darts underneath the door.

I distinctly remember saying, or hearing "I fear opening this door." lol.

The door then makes a loud cracking noise, and a piece of the middle part of the door breaks away, revealing the ribs and an arm of a human skeleton the rest of it still boarded up. The arm begins grabbing for me and tearing at the wood that it was encased in. The skeleton was a reddish pink and there was flesh still stuck to it x__x
So anyways I am screaming and begin to run away (slowly) because in my dreams I can never run. I make my way to the end of the alley, but even though I can see the opening, and I try to run out, it just gets longer (typical). I turn around and see the skeleton guy crawling out of its little boarded prison thing, and starts to crawl towards me carrying a piece of pipe or something.

For some reason I can't run at all anymore, and the skeleton guy (did I mention the eyeballs that were still in its head?) Walks up to me, looms over me for a moment, and starts beating the shit out of me with this piece of plumbing.

WHAT. THE. FUCK. DOES. THAT. MEAN.

THEN I hear this loud screaming noise, that wakes me, which is actually my cat Ozymandias... because my other cat Simon is biting him.

Glorious.

I dunno I looked at that I am really considering to be...a fraud. A friend of mine is a lawyer in the States and he hadn't mentioned anything about this bill--and the main bulk of where lawyers get their business is from copyright law.

Also, what puts up warning flags for me is the fact that the sites that are linked want you to send them x amount of money so they can get you a copyright in like 9 months or something, which to me seems kind of convenient, and horribly fishy, I signed the petition anyways, and its always good to have your stuff copyrighted, BUT until I hear it from someone more reliable then 'random guy on the internet who I have never heard of who writes an article like a highschooler' then I am going to just sit tight really. The whole idea is is completely absurd. Thinking about major art industries and firms (Diseny, Dreamworks, ect ect ect), you'd think you would hear something from them as well eh?

EDIT People just seem to concentrate on the fact that I mentioned that being Canadian means that I am exempt from this, where the bigger issue is the fact that its possible that it's all a GIGANTIC FRAUD. Which is the more important issue.

Think about it! They make this bill, and people make a big fuss over it, and people in a panic start copyrighting all their shit, then they don't pass the bill, because 'everyone' made a big stink about it. But they still have your money that you sent on copyright. Just seems like a clever ploy to me.

One of those things where I really hope I am right.
It's like, come on. Legalizing that? What do they hope to gain from doing that? Mass chaos? A bunch of law firms going out of business?

Governments don't do things to cause them more headaches, no one does anything thats 'hard' there has to be some sort of payoff. Thats how people work. Besides allowing random 12 year olds on the internet stealing your crappy artwork and having the joy at laughing at you from behind a desk--what will they get out of this?

ALSO.
THINK ABOUT THE TERM 'ORPHANED'
What does it mean when a child its orphaned? Or something is orphaned? It means it DOESN'T HAVE AN OWNER.

It's clearly not legit. According to US copyright law, an Orphaned Work is only a piece of artwork whose creator can not be identified. So it only affects you if you never attribute anything to yourself and stay 100% anonymous.

No one is "stealing" anything. Orphaned Work merely falls into public domain.

It's like most Christmas music.

Thank you ~Usagi-Kage for that lovely clarification. lol

Oh and here is the ACTUAL bill ---> [link]
(take out the ***'s DA and their STUPID FUCKING AUTO EMOTICONS. don't get me started on that.)

Hey fellaz! Sorry for not responding to emails, I haven't been near a computer hardly at all this week! My Graduate Show was this weekend, and I have to say--SO hectic! But everything went well, there will be an update (with pictures) later on this week once I get not-so-busy.

But Here are some samples:

My entire class (and my teacher) Very small graduate class this year, I believe we started with 30 ish? (I am the one on the very end on the right).

Greg (The guy who does the code for the TZH site) and myself in front of my grad display! Woo! Greg came all the way up from North Carolina to be there =D

I am considering selling the professional prints I made for the display if people are interested. There are tons, all mounted nicely on foamcore board.

But! It'll be a while before I respond to any emails, I have less than a week left of school and I have a shit ton of projects to do still. Projects that I thought were due later...but turns out they are actually due in...4 days...which makes me very unhappy!

See you guys next week!
