Holy christ after this adventure I need to hide somewhere so I don't bump into anyone with my gigantic fugging ego, which has been stroked to a mirror shine. By people who scared the begeebers out of me.
Well got up at 6am am and was out the door by seven. Nancy drove! Our trip was uneventful aside from the fact I had stomach problems in the grodeyst way, and blessed every bathroom on the way there. I always seem to have stomach problems when traveling, must be nerves--ANYWAYS! So we were late :C So I was a bit bummed that I only got my portfolio reviewed 3 times because other people had filled out timeslots. Got some good advice, but overall no one really had many criticisms to dish out, one lady even said she was very jealous of my portfolio. So I was all omg! (I only had a week to toss everything together) The first person said that I should definitely enter my stuff in the Applied arts student awards, which, I am

and everyone LOVED the TZH stuff (what little I had to show) which I was surprised, but then again tzh has a lot more to do with design and business as well and doing that WHILE doing school is a tough job, so yeah! On guy even gave me his lawyers name for help with copyright stuff. Oh and I handed out TONS of business cards, it was really cool. And for some reason they were really interested in the fact that I could draw and do design stuff, and there was actually an interesting debate at the panel about 'are designers artists?'which was kind of neat.
At the panel a question was asked, which things in the portfolios were the mot memorable and all 3 who I got interviewed by mentioned stuff from mine

Haha and it was the dogfood package and zombies! And it was a running gag throughout the entire panel session, one of the guys even said after a while, what zombies!? I wanna see these zombies! (and he did get to haha) So yeah I wanted to die I was probably as red as a beat and my heart was beating so fast having my portfolio mentioned and was a running commentary in front of like... a hundred people. So yeah that went on for a bout an hour and a half, and when it ended I got up and gathered up my stuff and was getting ready to leave, when a tall dude ran up to me and asked if I was Jenny Romanchuk and if I was the one who does The Zombie Hunters, and I was all

He (I can't remember which one of you was ~
TRUE-SKORN because my memory is absolute ass forgive me.) and his friend are a fan of the comic and wanted to meet me. Oh lordy was I EVER terrified! I was all omgreally? Apparently his friend really wanted to meet me but was too shy to come and yeah--so I asked an made sure he wasn't going to like steal me and I got to meet some TZH fans which was terrifying^^ I was shaking so bad haha! I gave em a handful of buttons and had to rush back to my classmates, I went to grab some magazines and I got like ambushed by the rest of the RGDs cause they wanted to see zombies--so I got to show my portfolio to more than 3 people after all and handed out more business cards.
*thrilled*
So, WOW. My ego is fucking HUGE. And I have never been so terrified, ever.
But I'm glad I went. I was going to stay the night and go shopping but I came home with the guys instead, cause I was tired, and my throat was fucking SORE. Driving with the guys was a blast though haha.
So yes! That was my day before yesterday!
Edit: It was in Sudbury at the Cambrian college for those of you who were wondering. (Cambrian college is a very big very NICE school. Holy crap you guys are lucky bastards your maclab makes me so jealous)
And don't forget to vote for TZH! Vote. Votevotevotevote.

Where is fucking needle?!
I wanna pop some ego head...
It's pretty sweet that your portfolio was the talk of the show.
Man, I wish could have been there.
But methinks that that deep into Canada would've ruined my budget.
And my gas tank!
